A peanut weighs about 1 gram. A peanut sprout contains 27.2ug (micrograms) of resveratrol
American scientists have discovered that peanuts contain a natural polyphenol with strong biological activity-resveratrol, whose content is 908 times that of grapes, reaching 27.2ug/g. According to research conducted by Penny, a professor at Pennsylvania State University, and Qiu Yiyuan, a professor at Taiwan’s Chiayi University, peanuts contain resveratrol, which is 30 times that of grapes. The resveratrol content in grapes is usually only one part per million, while the resveratrol content in peanuts is as high as 30 parts per million.
